El interior orgánico,  está realizado en madera ondulada de pino  evocando las curvas de la montaña cercana. El exterior se resuelve mediante un marco de acero cort<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">é</span>n y vidrio en las zonas expuestas.</span><br />

<p>Después de las candidaturas para los Juegos Olímpicos de 2012 y 2016, Madrid vuelve a intentarlo. La capital española presenta su candidatura para organizar los <strong>Juegos Olímpicos y Paralímpicos de 2020</strong>, la que sería la XXXII edición de los Juegos de la era moderna.</p>

<p>El nuevo proyecto olímpico estrena también identidad gráfica. El 30 de enero de 2012 se presentó oficialmente el logotipo de <strong>Madrid 2020</strong>, basado en una propuesta del estudiante aragonés <strong>Luis Peiret</strong>.</p>

<h3 style="text-align:left !important; margin-top:28px; margin-bottom:14px;">La Puerta de Alcalá convertida en símbolo olímpico</h3>

<p>La idea toma como punto de partida uno de los elementos más reconocibles de Madrid: la <strong>Puerta de Alcalá</strong>. Sus cinco vanos se reinterpretan mediante formas de distintos colores que remiten también a los cinco anillos olímpicos.</p>

<p>Sobre los arcos aparece una «m» minúscula acompañada del número 20, construyendo una imagen que pretende identificar simultáneamente a Madrid y a la candidatura olímpica.</p>

<blockquote style="text-align:left;">La propuesta intenta convertir un símbolo histórico de Madrid en una imagen contemporánea vinculada al deporte y a la apertura de la ciudad al mundo.</blockquote>

<h3 style="text-align:left !important; margin-top:28px; margin-bottom:14px;">Un logotipo que nace con polémica</h3>

<p>La presentación del nuevo símbolo no ha pasado desapercibida. Desde las primeras horas han aparecido comentarios y críticas sobre la lectura de la «m», la combinación de colores y las diferencias entre la propuesta inicialmente presentada por Luis Peiret y la versión definitiva utilizada por la candidatura.</p>

<p>Más allá de esas opiniones, el caso resulta interesante como ejemplo de hasta qué punto una identidad gráfica destinada a representar a toda una ciudad puede convertirse inmediatamente en objeto de debate público.</p>

<p>El logotipo tendrá ahora la difícil tarea de acompañar a Madrid durante los próximos meses de candidatura y convertirse en una imagen fácilmente reconocible dentro y fuera de España.</p>

<p>Empieza de nuevo la carrera olímpica.</p>
